Wicked Sounds with The Clash Goes Jamaican

Today’s “Wicked Sounds” come from a compilation now digitally available on bandcamp. 32 tunes paying tribute to one of the best bands that this planet has ever seen – The Clash. The guys from Golden Singles Records compiled this gem.

It’s no surprise that most of the tracks don’t reach the intensity of the originals. But that’s not what this is about. This compilation is here to show that the music of The Clash lives on and is breathed by a new generation.

And then there are some versions that really add to the perfect originals – “Clampdown” by The Green Room Rockers opening new doors with an old school Soul flavour, “Lover’s Rock” by Chris Murray showing a new laid-back beauty, “Magnificent Dance” by The Lions feat. Black Shakespeare putting the indie dancefloor nearer to Jamaica.
