These Are The Nominees For Video Of The Month April 2015

Ready to have have a look at the Official Ska & Reggae Video nominations for April 2015? Here they are.

Following on a 2013 EP release, the debut album of London’s ska crew Chainska Brassika, has been announced for the coming weeks. “Bad Habits” is the first video taken from the album. The band also offer a free download of the song at bandcamp.

Alpheus is booked for a lot of big festivals this spring and summer, an outstanding singer and performer. His album “Good Prevails” is still hot, bursting with Ska, Rocksteady and Early Reggae gems. “The Right One” is one of them, the video was shot on location in the City of Love: Paris.

Kumpania Algazarra from Sintra mix Ska and Reggae with Balkan Beats and Afro Beat, an exciting sound, first captured on an album in 2008. The video to “Mariquita” raises hopes that a new longplayer is imminent.

If the tune “Long Gone” is any measure, then it will be hard to find a band that sounds more like early Madness than Hometown Hi-fi. Which is far from being a bad sound to go for. “Long Gone” is the title track of their self-released EP.

The video to “The Exorcist”, taken from Dr. Ring Ding Ska-Vaganza‘s fab new album “Bingo Bongo”, was shot on location in Praga. Another collaboration with videographer Krzysztof Gajewski (who also produced the documentary “Ska Delight”.
